We're proud to present the Newvelle Ten Collection, a landmark five-album series celebrating Newvelle’s tenth anniversary. Recorded in the studio where it all began with five new albums headlined by Martin Wind, Ingrid Jensen, Elan Mehler, Loren Stillman, and Skúli Sverrisson.
The collection is pressed on 180-gram vinyl and features tip-on gatefold jackets printed by legendary Stoughton Printing. Each release is paired with original artwork from internationally renowned artist Ragnar Kjartansson, underscoring the label’s unique commitment to pairing exceptional music with striking visual art. Entire fold out gatefold is dedicated to new landscape works by Ragnar.
Included in this collection:
Bassist and composer Martin Wind's Stars captures a rare meeting of kindred spirits: masters of their craft whose collective warmth and deep respect radiate through every note. Wind is joined by legendary pianist Kenny Barron, clarinetist Anat Cohen, and drummer Matt Wilson.
Acclaimed trumpeter Ingrid Jensen presents Landings, with music of astounding color, intricacy, and swing. Joining Jensen in this quarter are Gary Versace (organ), Marvin Sewell (guitar), and Jon Wikan (drums), who deliver music that is at once composed and free, intricate yet never tight, swinging as hell yet always searching. Legendary tenor saxophonist George Coleman joins the quarter to revisit his "Amsterdam After Dark."
Bringing together a seven-piece ensemble of some of the most distinctive voices in contemporary jazz, Renee Said is the newest album from pianist, composer, and label director Elan Mehler. Both a celebration and a statement — expansive, daring, and deeply personal — the album features Loren Stillman (alto saxophone), Scott Robinson (tenor saxophone), Ben Monder (guitar), Tony Scherr (bass), and Francisco Mela and Matt Wilson (drums).
Seer, a deeply immersive work from saxophonist Loren Stillman, showcases three of today’s most remarkable voices in jazz, each with a career defined by creativity, virtuosity, and innovation. Pianist Craig Taborn and bassist Thomas Morgan join Stillman for this album that balances precision and freedom, composition and improvisation, melody and abstraction.
For All Your Flowers marks a luminous new chapter in the extraordinary collaboration between Icelandic bassist-composer Skúli Sverrisson and iconic guitarist Bill Frisell. After recording the critically acclaimed Strata in 2018, they return to Newvelle with ten compositions; miniature worlds that bloom in the duo’s hands.
Newvelle Ten is scheduled to begin shipping in January 2026. With the exception of For All Your Flowers, which will release in August, all other albums will be shipped January 2026.
