In 2013, the OWL Trio, a group formed from the decade-long musical relationship between bassist Orlando le Fleming, guitarist Lage Lund and saxophonist Will Vinson, released its eponymous debut on Losen Records, to instant critical acclaim. It's not often these days that a group is able to create an unmistakable sound all their own, but the OWL Trio's variety of chamber-jazz, informed by a love of timbre, an audiophile sensibility, and deep musical interaction, is just that.
