Music Pictures: New Orleans chronicles the life and music of legendary artists featured in Newvelle's acclaimed series The New Orleans Collection. Written, directed, and produced by Ben Chace, this beautiful documentary makes its world premiere at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival in New York on June 12, followed by performances from Newvelle artists Irma Thomas and Little Freddie King.

Chace's first feature Wah Do Dem won the Best Narrative at Los Angeles Film Festival, and was included in the top 10 films of 2010 in ArtForum. His follow up Sin Alas, the first American feature filmed in Cuba since 1959, was released by Kino Lorber in 2016.

Newvelle's The New Orleans Collection, released in 2020, is a physical testament to the vibrancy of the city's music, preserving its legacy for generations of listeners, present and future. The series includes albums led by the Grammy-winning Irma Thomas, inimitable Delta blues guitarist Little Freddie King, wildly expressive funk and R&B pianist Jon Cleary, and joyful jazz pianist, and musical mentor to many, the late Ellis Marsalis.
